Smith College Physics and Astronomy Club

The Smith Physics and Astronomy Club is a student-directed organization of physics and astronomy as well as other science enthusiasts. As a club, our goal is to spread our appreciation of physics and astronomy to the rest of Smith and to the local community. 

We sponsor stargazing field trips to the MacLeish field station as well as atop the roof of McConnell. We are also involved in outreach events, wherein physics demos are used to explain everyday phenomena to participants. We host student talks and activities to raise awareness of the work our astronomy and physics majors are doing at Smith and beyond.
